3M Aerospace (Booth 1481) and Aircraft Maintenance Division
are marketing a complete radio-frequency identification (RFID) based tool
tracking solution that the company says can reduce costs, cycle time and defect
rates in aerospace MRO operations. The tool tracking solution includes tracking
software, RFID tags with protective labels, and readers to provide an
integrated workflow solution. The 3M solution is currently being installed at
Nordam's Tulsa facility to help improve the company's productivity and asset
utilization.
