Aviation Technology Group (Booth 222) has chosen the Mecaer
Group (Booth 3480) for the design, development, certification, manufacturing
and after-sale support of the landing gear for its Javelin VLJ. "This award is
another significant endorsement of Mecaer's leadership and commitment to the
VLJ market niche and it is a fundamental step for our growth in North America,"
said Mecaer CEO Pier Ughi. Mecaer will perform design and development
activities at its home base in Borgomanero, Italy, while Mecaer's Canadian
operations in Montreal will provide program management activities as required.
Initial customer deliveries of the FAA-certified Javelin are slated for 2008.
