Paris Air Show. An increasing number of manufacturers are building bigger and
bigger hospitality chalets, not just to shelter from the sun (as in the past)
but in which to entertain prospective buyers. An increasing number of
executives are spending their time out at the airport instead of on the
convention floor.
This year marked a noticeable upgrading of the chalets from
the tents of the past to sturdier structures. And they're getting bigger.
King of the hill this year was Bombardier. Others with
chalets of notable size were Gulfstream and Dassault, while Cirrus and Adam
Aircraft plumped instead for mobile hospitality trucks they can drive from show
to show.
