Partners Lufthansa Technik, Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation
Services (LBAS), Air Routing, Harrods Aviation, BizJet Inter-national and
Trade-Air launched their new Platinet Web site at the convention yesterday with
simultaneous press of a button by company representatives.
VIP and business jet operators, as well as airline
customers, can now access all relevant information about services and easily
register for their free-of-charge membership. On www.platinet.com customers can
also inform themselves about an action scenario describing how Platinet
supports operators in AOG (aircraft on ground) situations.
"Our own Web site for Platinet will not only be an
information pool for all of our customers, but also an important source for
interested flight departments on the search for a competent partner," said
RYdiger Hornig, vp, VIP and government jet maintenance, yesterday. "We are
looking back now on 18 months of successful cooperation after the start of
Platinet at EBACE 2004 in Geneva. Seeing the demand for our services during this
time, we have taken the right step while creating a global network for the VIP
and business jet community now even online."
Another new part of Platinet is the participation in Miles
& More, one of the world's leading airline incentive programs. Heads of
flight or technical departments have the opportunity to earn miles for various
services offered whenever they call the Platinet hotline. Miles can be redeemed
on the whole portfolio of Miles & More.
Platinet enables Lufthansa Technik to offer VIP customer
service worldwide under the motto "Get me home," whatever the problem
encountered by a customer, anywhere on Earth, says the company. The package
includes technical, operational and logistical services. In the event of an
AOG, a team of specialists is assembled within three hours and dispatched by
the fastest means by special flight if necessary.
