Midcoast Expands to Seats by B/E, Lufthansa Technik's 'nice' Units
Midcoast Aviation continues to expand its business,
trumpeting new agreements to sell B/E Aerospace Stratus seats and Lufthansa
Technik Networked Integrated Cabin Equipment "nice'' IFE equipment.
"It's all about our successful growth strategy to bring together
the best of the best onsite at Midcoast to support each customer's unique
needs," said Midcoast president Kurt F. Sutterer. "These agreements continue
our dual commitment to offer the finest available equipment to our completion
and refurbishment customers and to control as many elements of that work on site."
As part of an exclusive 10-year pact, Midcoast has the
rights to distribute B/E Stratus seats and divans for the new Global 5000s,
electric seats for the Challenger 604 and reupholstering for the Global
Express. The company also has the rights to refurbish other B/E seats. The
so-called Midcoast Platinum seat is slated for certification during second
quarter 2006.
Midcoast also will sell, install and service Lufthansa
Technik's Ethernet-based digital cabin management and onboard entertainment
system at its St. Louis, Mo., facilities. The IFE system integrates the
separate IFE systems that had been analog-based.
