Nordam is to provide configured interior liner and window
shades for the new Learjet 60XR midsize jet from Bombardier. Work includes
headliners, passenger service unit (the PSU is used to contain lighting, air
gaspers, oxygen boxes and audio speaker components), sidewalls and the lower
sidewalls, or dado panels. Nordam says it will work closely with Bombardier
toward a 60XR interior that offers weight and acoustic benefits. Both will use
CATIA V5 to aid in design, fabrication, certification and installation. Nordam
will receive Bombardier's engineering models in CATIA V5, and will use the
electronic files to develop internal engineering to produce the physical parts.
Some parts will be manufactured utilizing CATIA V5's ability to directly
interface with Nordam's 3- and 5-axis CNC routers, while other oversized parts
will be completed by hand. Nordam's at Booth 5276 here and Bombardier Learjet
is at Booth 3197.
