NetJets has declined to comment on whether it's dropping the
Boeing Business Jet, a jumbo requiring different treatment from the rest of the
NetJets fleet.
NetJets said last year it had five BBJs and this year says
it has just four while acknowledging that one of those is for sale. That will
leave it with just three too few for a global fractional ownership program.
Other significant changes to the NetJets fleet this year
include the advent of the Citation Sovereign NetJets claims five coming into
NBAA and the rise of the Hawker 400XP: NetJets has 22 this October, as compared
with just four in October 2004.
The Hawker 1000 is not faring as well, however, as NetJets
is no longer offering shares. Just nine remain in the fleet, compared with 22
at this time last year. Shares in the Citation VII are likewise no longer
offered by NetJets. The number of NetJets Citation VIIs has remained steady at
17 since last year.
NetJets claims a worldwide fleet of 598 aircraft, up from
2004's 535.
