Thales Brings New People and New Products to NBAA

Thales Aerospace comes to this year's NBAA with a host of surprises, including a new vp for the Worldwide Thales Regional and Business Aircraft division, whose name the company will officially announce at the show this week. In the hardware area, Thales brings a newly certified Enhanced Flight Vision System for the Global Express XRS and Global 5000, a system that was granted provisional certification by Transport Canada in June. The company will also launch a new satcom system for broadband connectivity through Inmarsat. Recent wins include being selected as the flat-panel avionics suite provider for the S76D helicopter and the Russian Sukhoi RRJ regional jet program. In May, Grob chose the company's Integrated Electronic Standby Instrument for its G 160 Ranger turboprop.
