Twin Commander RVSM Avoidance is a Good Thing for Twin Commanders

Classic aircraft like the Twin Commander family sometimes need a little help to come to terms with the hustle and bustle of modern-day life. To make these veteran twins more amenable to modern airspace, Twin Commander Aircraft and Aeromech have teamed to develop and certify RVSM solutions for Twin Commandeer JetProp models. Customers options will include the Meggitt MAGIC EFIS fit or an IS&S copilot system. Flights tests to prove the key static system error correction curves were completed earlier this year using a group of five development aircraft. An FAA STC is expected before the end of the year.
