Atlantic Aviation's parent company, Executive Air Support, has agreed to acquire two additional FBOs in California: Newport Jet Center at John Wayne-Orange County (SNA) and Million Air Palm Springs at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). Completion of this transaction is subject to certain conditions, and third-party consents. "We are delighted with the addition of these two well regarded operations to our network of FBO sites nationally," said Lou Pepper, CEO of Atlantic Aviation. "It will give our customers an opportunity to experience the Atlantic attitude from coast to coast."
Atlantic has also extended its awards program until 2006, presenting
pilots with a $5 gift certificate for every 100 gallons of fuel
purchased. The gift certificates are redeemed onto a prepaid American
Express card that is 'uploaded' each time additional certificates
are entered via the website www.atlanticaviation.com. The card is
usable anywhere AmEx is accepted. "The program has been enormously
popular with flight crews," said Sue Sommers, vp sales and marketing.
"It's our way of saying 'thank you' for their continued loyalty
and support."
In other news, Atlantic Aviation has announced a $5.5 million upgrade
to its Chicago Midway facility that will be completed by the end
of this month. It includes a new 20,000-square-foot hangar, a 10,000-square-foot
combined office and shop, and a 7,000-square-foot ground support
building. There will also be a 3,500-square-foot to an existing
building for more shop space. "We are filled to capacity at Midway,"
said Sommers. "In addition to needing more room to service existing
customers, we wanted to be able to offer overnight hangar services
for prospective customers who want to base in Chicago."
