Rockwell Collins Airshow 21 cabin management systems will now come as standard equipment on the Hawker 800XP and Gulfstream G350 and G450 business jets, as announced by Raytheon and Gulfstream. The 800XP system features a new 3.8-inch touch-screen interface as well as a touch-screen remote and a 15-inch bulkhead monitor that provides moving maps and Airshow Network programming, among other features. The system also provides passengers with CD and DVD input options. The Gulfstream configuration includes IEEE 1394 FireWire technology that forms the backbone for a wide range of equipment used to control features like cabin lighting and temperature along with state-of-the-art audio and video distribution for cabin entertainment. In other news, Dassault has picked Rockwell Collins to provide the cabin management systems for the 7X business jet, beginning with mid-2006 deliveries of a system that will be based on Airshow 21.
