UAE's Royal Jet Adds Second BBJ
Scarcely more than a year in operation, UAE's Royal Jet announced that it's adding a second Boeing Business Jet to its fleet. Specially configured for 42 passengers, Royal Jet's new BBJ began operations on July 15 from its Abu Dhabi base. The new addition is emblematic of Royal Jet's long-term plan to become the premier provider of private charter services throughout the Middle East. The firm intends to open offices in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
The second BBJ is intended for use by clients who will charter the aircraft for prolonged periods. It's fitted with a premium entertainment system and other accoutrements befitting royalty. Royal Jet also operates two Gulfstream 300s, each capable of transporting up to 14 passengers. The company plans to acquire more aircraft next year. The appropriately named Royal Jet is under the direction of His Excellency Sheikh Hamden Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. Day-to-day operations are handled by Crown Prince Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Crown Prince and General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
