Spectralink Demonstrates Wearable Displays Linking Pilots, Commanders to UAVs
Spectralink, of the Elisra Group (Hall 1, Stand E1 & D16), is introducing here at the show a new datalink system utilizing a wearable miniature display strapped to the arm of an infantry commander or worn as a kneepad by helicopter pilots. The display links via Tactical Video Link utilizing miniature datalink, which taps directly into the video feed from the UAV, which patrols over the target area, providing real-time imagery of the target as well as weapons guidance and monitoring of the effects of the weapons used. Elisra is already providing similar systems known as MRS to Israeli and U.S. forces, which have demonstrated its effectiveness in combat operations in urban warfare.
