BAE Systems Regional's £4 Million First half
Since the beginning of the year, BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has booked modification contracts valued at £4 million from its fleet customers operating BAe 146 and Avro RJ series airliners. Eurowings, FlyBe, National Jet Systems, SN Brussels, Swiss and TNT Express have requested avionics upgrades, many of them including Mode S transponders and EGPWS ahead of next year's mandatory installation. The modifications team at Regional Aircraft division receives some 800 requests per year for upgrades and offers a complete service from initial evaluation to fitment.
