Honeywell Proximity Sensor Slashes False Alarm Rate
Gaps as small as a human hair can be detected by Honeywell's new two-wire, two-part proximity sensor system on display at Hall 1, Stand A8. In contrast to conventional yes/no design proximity switches, the proximity sensor system has a continuous linear measurement feature that provides actual gap measurements. This virtually eliminates nuisance faults, according to Pat Murray, the firm's VP/GM sensors, sensing and control.
