Hamilton Sundstrand Delivers A380 Equipment
Working under contract for Airbus to deliver six systems at a total program worth over $2 billion, Hamilton Sundstrand (Hall 4, Stand F9) is producing environmental control and power-generating systems for the A380, including Air Generation System (AGS), cabin pressure control system, central galley cooling system, auxiliary power unit, trimable horizontal stabilizer actuator and ram air turbine emergency power system. The company has completed the design phase of the AGS and component and system testing have been under way since mid-2003. Hardware manufacturing also has begun; hardware, software and electronics controllers have been delivered to Airbus for the first A380 flight-test aircraft.
