The Engine Alliance has selected Goodrich Corp.'s Aerostructures team in Toulouse, France, to perform post-shipment final assembly, engine buildup, and flight line support for the GP7200 engine to be used on the A380 aircraft. Goodrich already supplies the body and wing landing gear, in addition to certain structural elements. Goodrich will also equip the A380 with systems such as the air data system, primary and secondary conventional and electro-hydraulic flight control systems, variable frequency electrical power system, evacuation systems, external lighting systems and cargo handling mechanism for the passenger version of the A380.
