Smiths Aerospace Expands in China
From April this year, Smiths Aerospace has been developing the first phase of its new 130,000-square-foot aerospace components manufacturing facility in Suzhou, Jiang Su province, China. Located in the Export Processing Zone of the Suzhou Industrial Park near Shanghai, the new facility will initially manufacture precision-machined aircraft engine components for the civil marketplace, followed by sheet metal airframe components later this year. About 100 staff will be recruited by the year-end.
