Smiths Detection has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Defense in Athens to supply all international and regional airports in Greece with Smiths Heimann X-ray baggage inspection systems. After extensive trials, the Smiths Heimann operation has been selected to supply over 100 HI-SCAN X-ray inspection systems for all Greek airports. The equipment is currently being delivered, and will be operated by the Greek police after installation at the respective sites.
