Thales Upgrades Italian Army Helo Simulators

Training equipment for Italian army A129 attack helicopters is slated for upgrade by Thales. AgustaWestland, which makes the A129, picked Thales to upgrade the combat mission simulator located at the training base in Viterbo, Italy. Thales also built the original simulator. The enhancement is in line with upgrades being made to the helicopter. The system should be ready for use in late 2006. Thales will provide two years of support thereafter, with two additional option years.
