The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) passed the TBM 700C2 for certification on July 14, as an increased gross weight version of the high-speed TBM 700 turboprop, following certification by both the Australians and Canadians. The turboprop was originally certified by the U.S. FAA in March 2003 for a maximum ramp weight of 7,428 pounds. It will be able to carry a maximum of 1,347 pounds (611kg), 1,074 nmi., or will be able to travel a maximum 1,565 nmi. while carrying an 864-pound (392kg) payload (both ranges allow for a 45-minute reserve). The certification came on the 16th anniversary of the maiden flight of the prototype TBM 700.
