Rolls-Royce has now delivered more than 1,000 of its Trent-family turbofan engines, marking the event with a handover ceremony of a Trent 800 to Singapore Airlines. The latter is the largest customer of Trent and will use the ceremonial engine on a Boeing 777. Rolls has 45 customers for Trent variants, which have amassed more than 10 million flying hours. At least 700 more Trents are on order.
