Collins Logs Comm Gear Contracts with UK, Greece
The Hellenic Air Force has picked a Rockwell Collins RSC-125G personnel locator system for installation on 10 Super Puma helicopters with a contract award to the prime, TEOTEC S.A., a business established in 2001 as a member of the Theocarakis Group. No contract value was disclosed. The equipment will be used for combat search and rescue missions, providing text messaging in a low-probability of intercept application. In an unrelated contract, the UK Ministry of Defence awarded a follow-on of £4.8 million ($8.6 million) for Talon V/UHF radios for use on Harrier aircraft. The U.S. company has now sold $24 million worth of the radios to Britain for use on various military aircraft.
