Honeywell Captures Boeing 7E7 Dreamliner Fly-By-Wire, Autopilot
Honeywell's share of the work on the Boeing 7E7 Dreamliner has been boosted to $2.5 billion with the award of the flight control electronics package. Honeywell Aerospace previously had been awarded contracts for the navigation package and the crew information/management system on the new aircraft program.
Under this third contract Honeywell will develop the fly-by-wire flight control system and the autopilot. The company remains in the hunt for other work packages on the 7E7.
