Honeywell's Choice of CMC GPS Seen as Validation

Honeywell has selected a CMC Electronics Inc. GPS receiver with 24-channel capability for use in an ARINC 743A sensor unit. The CMA-3024 receiver is an upgrade to the CMA-3012 that has been installed on thousands of aircraft over the past decade. The new unit supports GPS precision approach capability and all aspects of RNP/RNP-RNAV navigation. CMC has a significant market share for GPS receivers in the air transport and business/regional aircraft markets, and this new award reconfirms that position, according to Bruce Bailey, vp commercial aviation at CMC Electronics in Montreal.
