The Pilatus PC-21 is being fitted with the CMA-900 flight management system (FMS) with GPS from CMC Electronics Inc. The dual installation will be standard on the aircraft to provide GPS, inertial navigation system, DME, embedded GPS inertial and Doppler navigation capability. The system can also serve as a radio management unit and a control unit for other systems, such as ACARS and satcom. In addition, CMC won a contract from Pilatus to provide Sparrow Hawk HUDS on six PC-9Ms for the Bulgarian Air Force. This HUD has a simulated weapons delivery and scoring system.
