Blocked by Wallpaper

In this amazing technological age, could something as mundane as wallpaper stop you from doing what you want?

"No way!" do I hear you say? Yes, indeed. Frequency-Specific Wallpaper, developed by QinetiQ, is impregnated with a radio or wireless wave-blocker, and that's it, you're foiled.

Made of paper, plastic or cloth, the wallpaper can have many uses. For instance, in the Madrid terrorist bombings, the devices were triggered by signals from by cell phones. If the unexploded packages that were discovered had been placed in an area treated with Frequency-Specific Wallpaper, no phone signal could trigger them, and bomb disposal teams would have been able to work in greater safety.

And you know those people who always think that "no mobile phones" signs never apply to them? This "smart" wallpaper would silence even them.

QinetiQ is in Hall 1, Stand A19 and Chalet L1.
