EASy Does It
The Dassault Falcon 2000EX EASy business jet has become the latest aircraft with a certified integrated cockpit based on Honeywell's PrimusEpic technology.
FAA certification and European Aviation Safety Agency approval were granted late last month after the 2000EX EASy test aircraft completed 143 flights in 335 flight hours. Patrick Darses, who heads the flight test group, said avionics software reliability has proven to be excellent in the EASy cockpit. The Honeywell technology allows for a wide variety of user-friendly applications to be called up on four 14-in diagonal displays.
Dassault had already certified an EASy cockpit on the Falcon 900EX EASy and will certify the forthcoming Falcon 7X with it, Dassault is aiming for common FAA Type Ratings, enabling pilots to cross-qualify on all three models.
