GKNAS Wins $1.5 Billion's Worth of F/A-22 Work

GKN Aerospace Services (GKNAS) won a contract with Lockheed Martin to manufacture horizontal stabilator skins for the F/A-22 Raptor. Demanding unusually high strength because of the F/A-22's performance, the components fabricated using pre-peg coating methods. This contract brings the total value of F/A-22 work for GKNAS to $1.5 billion.
