L-3 and Korean Aerospace Ink Agreement

L-3 Communications and Korean Aerospace Industries have inked an agreement to market surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities in Korea and other Pacific-rim countries. "This relationship will provide significant technology and experience to Korean industry as well as to other Pacific Rim countries," l-3 Integrated Systems president Bob Drewes said.

The five-year agreement will work alongside the Republic of Korea's Lot II program to provide structural and systems upgrades to the ROK's fleet of Lockheed P-3 Orions.

L-3 is currently working with the U.S. Navy along with other countries to provide system upgrades to P-3s around the world, while KAI is the prime contractor for all aircraft and satellites in service with the Korean military.
