GECAS Orders Four 777-300ERs for Massive Emirates Deal

General Electric Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has ordered four Boeing 777-300ERs as part of a deal reached between Dubai-based Emirates, GECAS and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) for 26 new 777-300ERs powered by General Electric GE90-115B engines. Twelve of the Emirates aircraft will come from ILFC, and 14 from GECAS, resulted in their having to order an additional four 777-300ERs to meet the obligation. The deal between Emirates and the two leasing companies is valued at some $6.8 billion.
