Snecma to Care for NWA Engine Maintenance Equipment

Northwest Airlines recently signed a long-term maintenance agreement with Snecma Services to care for the air carrier's quick engine change (QEC), buyer furnished equipment (BFE) and line replaceable units (LRUs) used to maintain the CFM56 turbofans fitted to its Airbus A320 jetliners. Snecma will handle all maintenance of this equipment during both routine line service and removal/replacement operations for a fixed rate, based upon flight hours.
