EADS Selects Thales to Develop Typhoon Maintenance Recording Techniques

EADS disclosed a 6 million euro contract with Thales of Norway for the development of advanced maintenance data recording techniques for the Eurofighter Typhoon. The contract will involve close cooperation between EADS and Thales to develop the system, and will position Thales in Norway to receive other production contracts for the Typhoon programme. It is part of a larger 20 million euro agreement with the Norwegian government for their participation in weapon systems development for Typhoon, and will enable Thales to use the experience gained in state-of-the-art technology in other areas of product work.
