Rockwell Collins has been tapped to provide its Total Entertainment
System (TES) and Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance Systems
on three Kenya Airways Boeing 777s. It will also upgrade TES
on three of the carrier's 767s. The TES contract will provide
for a full in-seat audio and video on demand (AVOD). The system
is designed for twin-aisle aircraft, with open architecture and
modular design, and operates a plug-and-play capability to enable
easy upgrades. Now installed on more than 400 aircraft, TES offers
passengers crystal-clear viewing, easy-to-use passenger control
and an integrated telephone.
