Goodrich Lighting Technology Selected
for Boeing's Comanche
Boeing Company has awarded a $4 million contract to Goodrich Hella
Aerospace Lighting Systems to develop an anti-collision lighting
system for the new Boeing Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche helicopter.
The Comanche system will comprise a 2,000-candela white strobe
light and a new LED strobe. Due to enter service in 2009-2010
with a requirement for some 600 aircraft, the Comanche will serve
in armed reconnaissance, light attack and air combat roles with
the U.S. military.
