Serial number 0014 took off at 1150 local for the 120-minute flight, accompanied by its sibling, the Embraer 170. The Embraer 175, which is 70 inches longer than the 170, seats 78 to 86 passengers and offers 10% more cargo/seat space than its stablemate. Range will be 1,800 nmi.

Meanwhile, the Embraer 170, which is making its Paris Air Show debut here, has completed over 90% of its certification program. The 175 will be certificated in third quarter 2004.

Embraer has booked 234 firm and 289 options for the 170/190 family.
