ATR Reaches a New Level of Comfort

Avions de Transport Régional (Hall 2, A18) is displaying a new 'elegance' cabin for the ATR 72-500 that it claims affords the twin turboprop a level of comfort a level of comfort equal to that of jets. The cabin interior was designed by Italian architect Stefano Gris in collaboration with ATR's design office for operator Air Caraïbes. The ergonomically designed seats are by Avio Interiors; predominant colors in the cabin are beige and cherry.

ATR's new I-CARE Customer Loyalty Program was launched in February 2003, and provides services in training, maintenance and spare parts. Recently, ATR reduced spare parts prices by 8% as part of the program. "By reviewing our purchasing conditions and reducing internal costs, we are now in a position to reduce the 2003 catalogue prices on rotables and breakdown parts," declared Roberto Bellino, senior VP for customer services.
