Duncan in the Community

Westchester's not the only locale to cultivate kids along with the community (see item at left). Lincoln, Nebraska-based Duncan Aviation says its employees "are constantly volunteering to teach aviation topics to children of all ages." Duncan employees cooperate not only with public schools but with organizations like Junior Achievement, 4-H and the Boy Scouts. "We provided teachers for a Bright Lights summer day camp program for elementary-aged children and also for a Children's Museum summer daycare program," says marketing chief Lee Bowes. "In addition, a group of employees volunteered their time to refurbish and paint a Cessna 172 for an interactive display at the Children's Museum here in Lincoln." Duncan also participates in local recycling efforts and with the Habitat for Humanity program.
