Bell/Agusta Snags AIG for AB139

Teterboro, N.J.-based American International Group has ordered a Bell/Agusta AB139 light utility helicopter. The deal was concluded here at NBAA with a signing between Bell/Agusta managing director Louis Bartolotta Jr. and AIG's director of aviation Franklin Davis. The AB139 was developed jointly by Italy's Agusta and Bell Helicopter Textron, which will assemble helicopters destined for the North American market at its Fort Worth, Texas, facilities. AIG's AB139 is slated for delivery in 2005. "The AIG sale is a prestigious one for us," Bartolotta told Show News.
