Aviation Technology Group (ATG) has selected Avidyne Corp.'s
FlightMax Entegra integrated flight deck and flight control system
for its Mach 0.9 Javelin two-place light jet. The Javelin's Entegra
suite will boast two 10.4-inch diagonal displays for PFD and MFD
functions in each of its tandem cockpits. Notes ATG vp of Operations
Rob Fuschino, "The quality and performance of the FlightMax
Entegra is a perfect match for the unique requirements of the
Javelin. . . . (Its) single-pilot operation is easily managed
because of the superbly designed and integrated avionics suite."
The Javelin flight simulator, developed by Merlin Simulation,
is being showcased here at Booth 2415. It features a dome visual
system and full cockpit instrumentation and is programmed with the
Javelin's flight characteristics based on extensive wind tunnel
testing. Potential customers can experience the airplane's 10,000
foot/min. climb rate and maneuver it throughout the flight envelope,
including aerobatics and terrain-following low-level operation.
Here at NBAA, ATG announced appointment of its first authorized
distributor--Western Aircraft of Boise, Idaho. Western has placed
an initial order for 10 Javelins, which are scheduled for delivery
in 2007. It will market the airplane in Idaho, California, Washington,
Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and Montana.
