Geneva Picks Up Global Express Service Mandate
Geneva-based Jet Aviation has signed a contract with Bombardier
Aerospace to become an authorized service facility for the eight-to-19-seat
Global Express long-range business jet. The accord will allow the
company to perform line and base maintenance on Global Express airframes
and their Rolls-Royce Deutschland BR710 engines, and to perform
warranty repairs and modifications on the aircraft. Over 80 of the
type are in service worldwide, including seven in the Jet Aviation
fleet, alongside 150 Challengers, Citations, Falcons, BBJs and others,
flown for clients in the U.S. and Europe. In 2002, Jet Aviation
provided nearly 60,000 hours in global flight operations. Said David
Orcutt, vp Customer Service at Bombardier Business Aircraft, "Because
of Jet Aviation's reputation for quality maintenance, commitment
to customer service and its strategic locations, we were pleased
to select the company's Geneva operation as an authorized facility
to service and support our aircraft."
