Rockwell Collins has released the latest software update for
its Airshow Network onboard news and information network. The
P4 update improves connectivity and supports AirCell's onboard
telephone system, which uses a cellular network within the U.S.
and Iridium worldwide. However, tests have shown that P4 doubles
the single-call success rate with other connections, such as MagnaStar
and SATCOM.
