Feeling the Need to Network? APSI Opens Its Arms to
You
If you feel as if you just have to get together with industry folks when this week's NBAA gathering is but a fond memory, think APSI. Aviation Professionals Sharing Information is a year-old organization, born at the airport in White Plains (HPN), dedicated solely to networking.
Everyone in business aviation, from caterers to corporate tax specialists, is welcome at APSI gatherings, says Wendi Gavigan. She's vp for dispatch with Citigroup Corporate Aviation, and co-chairs APSI with Kelly Nelson of Bristol-Myers, also based at HPN.
Last month's APSI meeting, held at the Signature FBO at White Plains, featured Dr. Beau Altman, who devised the FACTS emergency crew training curricula now promoted by Washington State's AirCare International.
APSI, despite its roots in White Plains and its regularly held meetings there, is a national, even international, organization, Gavigan says. It draws participants from as far away as Hawaii. "They're welcome from Europe too," she says.
APSI's next meeting, which will be a holiday party, is slated for December 11. If all goes well it will be held at the Citigroup hangar at HPN.
