Honeywell has a new service allowing business jets to participate
in the FAA's Collaborative Decision-Making program, potentially
helping pilots to avoid costly delays. Scott Hamilton, director
of Honeywell's Global Data Center (GDC), said the service is the
first of its kind. "It provides behind-the-scenes information
previously available only to major airline dispatch departments,"
he said, adding that it "enables business aviators to take
advantage of the latest information from the FAA concerning traffic
bottlenecks and weather problems. In many cases, Global Flight
Guardian has saved operators as much as 30 minutes of extra flight
time." Honeywell is at Booth 5343.
