Rosen Aviation Displays is debuting its new flat-panel screen
display at NBAA (Booth 6683). Developed in response to the growing
number of DVD-based cabin entertainment systems, the 17-inch-wide
screen allows passengers to view movies that were formatted in
various wide-screen aspect ratios rather than having to watch
them in the standard television 4:3 format that cuts off parts
of the films. "Passengers have been experiencing theater-quality
sound in their aircraft for some time," said Andy Beers,
Rosen's vp of sales and marketing. "We wanted to complete
the experience by bringing theater-quality video images to the
cabin as well."
