Lufthansa Technik's BizJet International will enter the Rolls-Royce
Tay and Spey engine maintenance and overhaul business beginning
January 1. In other news, BizJet's 13,000 square foot test cell
is scheduled for completion by year-end. The Jet Cell 2 was designed
by Aero Systems Engineering. It will permit BizJet to test engines
up to 50,000 pounds thrust, including the Tay and Spey lines scheduled
for next year, as well as newer technology and higher-thrust Honeywell
engines. BizJet's current test cell will continue to run the CJ/CF,
JT15D and TFE731-2s and -3s.
