Midsize Aircraft Benefit from Extex's Expanded Product Line

No fewer than 15 new replacement components for auxiliary power units (APUs) feature in the expanded product line of Extex Ltd, manufacturer of PMA parts since 1995. The new aft diffuser housings, turbine nozzles, fuel manifolds, airflow deflectors, gears, deswirl compressors and guide vanes are now available for GTCP36-150RJ APUs found on Bombardier and Embraer regional airliners. Extex says the reverse-engineered parts, produced under FAA guidelines, can deliver cost savings of up to 30%. According to president and CEO Larry Shiembob, "Our customers find that, in many cases, Extex parts are higher quality than OEM parts because we make improvements to our parts during the design process."
