Honeywell has just named 23 authorized service centers that have
earned the company's Service Target Authorization & Approval
Rating (S.T.A.A.R.) designation. To achieve the rating, service
centers are required to use Honeywell's Internet sites and tools
such as E-engine, C-hamps, eSource and SpotLight. In addition,
half the rating rests on operator feedback. "These service
centers have demonstrated levels of service that surpass Honeywell's
13 requirements for basic authorization," said Barry Eccleston,
vp and general manager, Honeywell Propulsion Systems. Designated
TFE731 service centers include Dassault Falcon Jet Corp of Wilmington,
Del., and Bombardier Aerospace of Wichita. Designated TPE331 service
centers include Garrett Aviation Services of Augusta, Ga., and
Winner Aviation of Vienna, Ohio. The S.T.A.A.R. program, introduced
in 2002, is based on input from operators and service centers
and on benchmarking studies of the automotive and aviation service
industries. Performance is tracked and scores are compiled quarterly
to determine the overall service center rating.
