Honeywell to Provide Avionics Suite for Citation XLS

Honeywell announced on Monday that it has been selected by Cessna to provide a new integrated avionics suite for the new Citation XLS light business jet launched here at NBAA. The new Primus 1000 Control Display System (CDS) will feature three 10-by-8-inch LCDs, cursor control device and drop-down menus. Two of the LCDs will be used as primary flight displays (PFDs): one for the pilot and one for the copilot. The third will be in the center of the panel as a multifunction display. "Working closely with Cessna, we have jointly created the most advanced human-machine interface ever put in a light jet cockpit," said John Uczekaj, executive vp and general manager for Honeywell business, regional and general aviation.
