Honeywell's new Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) will be offered
as optional equipment on most Cessna Citation business jets with
a Honeywell Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) installation.
The new safety system is designed to reduce occurrences of runway
incursions and other airport catastrophes. The Citation will be
the first business jet to offer it.
RAAS advises aircrew of the aircraft's location on runways and
taxiways, in part by employing an audible alerting system. RAAS
is the newest flight deck technology in Honeywell's EGPWS, which
heightens pilot awareness of the aircraft's position relative to
